Every feature, and what it costs
Ask for the outcome. Siftlo picks the tools.
Everything below runs on the device unless the label says cloud, and everything below can be reached from the one field on Home. Where iPhone and Android behave differently, we say which and why rather than hiding the difference.

Ask and search
One field that reaches names, dates, places, people, what is in a photo and the text inside a document — then does something about it. Reading and searching is the larger half of the job; the tools are only the doing half.
It will not invent a capability. When a request falls outside what the app can really do, it says so and offers the nearest real thing rather than failing halfway through your library.

- “What is taking up all my space?”
- “Shrink these 40 for email”

Clean
Five categories, reviewed by group and never file by file: exact duplicates, large files, near-identical shots, old screenshots, and the photos that did not come out. Tick the ones you want, see the total, confirm once.

Library
People, events, albums, picked folders and smart folders in one place. Faces are grouped on the phone; seeing, naming and merging them is free for ever. Grouping trips and events, and filing a whole library by person, are Plus, with one free run so you can see it work.

Tools
Eighteen of them, in three groups. Photos: compress, resize, convert, markup, remove background, object eraser, blur faces, bulk rename. Documents: scan, sign, compress PDF, merge or split, read text, summarise. Video and audio: compress, trim, extract audio, transcribe. Batches of up to 500 at a time — a memory safeguard on both plans, never a paywall.

Documents
Text inside PDFs and scans is read on the phone, free and unmetered, so search finds the policy number instead of the filename. Summarising and transcribing are cloud jobs: five free a month, then Plus.

Rules
Old screenshots into review every Sunday. New photos of named people filed automatically. A monthly tidy up that runs itself. Nothing is deleted without a confirmation you have already agreed to, and every run lands in Activity like any other job.
- Every Sunday · screenshots over 90 days → review
- New photos of Donald → album “Donald”
- Monthly · compress anything over 8 MB

Activity and recovery
Every job Siftlo has run, what it touched, how long it took and where those files are now. Recovery holds what is on its way out — 30 days for library photos, 14 for files from folders you picked — and nothing in it is deleted yet.
